Default Digital Mic Preamp?
Hey All,

i have a 192 i/o currently running 8 channels analog in & out. i need to access the other 8 digital inputs. any suggestions?

What is it exactly that you need, a digital mic preamp or A/D convertor or both? Have you considered getting the A/D expansion card for the 192?

basically i'm looking to access the other 8 digital inputs on my 192. its my understanding that a mic pre like those described above will work just fine for that purpose...

...yes and it worked. 8 channels of drum mics into the adat lightpipe input of an 02 rack. They're cheap and don't sound very good but work OK. I have a Yamaha 02R digital mixer which does the same job but sounds a bit better. There are now many reasonably priced and better quality alternatives to the Behringer but if you really want one I'll sell you mine.

I would stay away from Behringer products mainly for ethical...
as well as quality reasons.

Using a Behringer into a 192 I/O is kind of like using a U87 into an Mbox......think "the weakest link"
