The haywaire midi happened to me on a 5,1 mac pro and a mac studio. And it happened in logic too. Basically, if the insertion point was on the beginning of the note event, my synths went haywaire. if the insertion was a few samples early then all was well. I was also using the Motu Midi Express.

I've been having the same MIDI issues with external synths. It does not happen when using Logic. Random sysex being sent to synths which inevitably crash the synth (Prophet 6, Super 6, Moog Voyager). From what I've read, it is a MIDI clock issue/bug?

Hi Kindkind,
I created case 04836740 and submitted it to our tech support team. Hi Milesmusic, I also created 04836727 for you. |

I have found that on my Mac Studio running Pro Tools in Rosetta fixes the issue of external synths being sent haywire (random patch changes and becoming totally unresponsive) anytime playback is started in the middle of a MIDI note/notes.
