Solo's do NOT work with groups!

here's the bug. I create a group and manually assign the "Follow Globals" and set the globals to "solo".

Sidenote: Why do I now have to manually assign "Follow Globals" and "solo" for my groups? Up until 7.4 solo's would always automatically work with groups!

Anyway, after doing that, the solo's are grouped. When I assign that group to a VCA, however, I am now no longer able to group solo...I must use the VCA (which I don't want to do since the VCA will be hidden). The STRANGE part is that when I take that group off of the VCA, the solo's no longer are grouped, even though its still part of the attributes! HUGE BUG that needs to be fixed!

It is not a bug. When a VCA is assigned a group, soloing is disabled from the group and only available with VCA master. If you still want group solo and VCA control, make a second group with solo only for the same tracks.

I've been using this setup for a long long time, and have always been able to solo the group when the vca is active...also, why, when I disable the vca, does it still not allow group solo?

AND, why does it not default to group solo when I create a track...it used to always do that.

I agree completely. That is ridiculous. And personally absurd. The VCA ordeal I don't know about, never use it personally. BUT if you are right, and if the SIMPLE solo button does not work for all your tracks in a group once you made them a "group".... Then that is RIDICULOUS. NEVER before did you have to "assign" solo,mute, view choice, size, edit, etc.. as a operational option to use in a group. Once you "grouped" tracks, they used to just act as 1 track. Thats the point of "group" in the first place.

NOW, having the option to go and assign them things OFF of the operational options in a "group" would be cool. But upon making a group they should ALL be on and working by default making all the tracks in the "group" act as ONE. Then let us go in and "customize" them from that point if we so desire.

It is ridiculous, VCAs or no, it should solo as a group. Bad "decision" making once again.

Please don't change this. This is half the reason for VCAs, to have a Master level and solo, while still being able to change level/solo/mute of the group members.
