UAD and NI plugins

I just installed Pro Tools 2022. Until today, I have been using only Maschine 2 and LUNA on this computer with the included instruments and plugins.

When I installed Pro Tools, none of my Native Instruments or UAD plugins appeared in the plug ins list.

I reinstalled Maschine 2 through Native Access, and that worked.

Is it necessary to reinstall each of my NI plugins? Or is there a way to make Pro Tools see the other NI instruments?

And UAD plugins?

Did you install AAX versions of all your plugins?

I thought that this was part of the standard installation. Do I need to install these separately or reinstall?

I did install Pro Tools last.

Windows or Mac? The easiest thing would be to look in your plugins folder (on Mac: YourHardDriveNameHere/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plugins) and see if they are in there. I think it might be a preference in the installers to include AAX. You can re-run the installers (or Native Access) and look for the option to install AAX versions.

You typically select which versions of the plugins you want to install, so I’ll ask again, did you install the AAX versions of the plugins?

If you installed AAX version of the UAD plugins already, they'll be inside that same folder, but inside a subfolder titled "Universal Audio".
