SPDIF connection
Im trying to connect an old Sony HX Pro single Cassette Deck to my 003 rack to mix down old tapes into protools but i cant seem to get it working. I check the SPDIF inputs 9-10 in the I/O setup and in hardware setup i check SPDIF for the optical option but i cant get signal into protools. im connecting the line out RCA cables from the Sony cassette deck into the SPDIF in of my 003 rack. Whats goin' on!

spdif is a digital protocol, you are trying to hook an analog signal into it. you need to get a rca to 1/4" crossover cable and plug it into inputs 1-2.
