Cool 10.5.8 Qualified - Is this silly?

"Pro Tools 8.0 software requires Mac OS X 10.5.5, 10.5.6, 10.5.7, or 10.5.8, and is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard. If you have an earlier version of Leopard, you will need to update your Mac OS using one of the following Combo Updates before installing Pro Tools 8.0:"

So, what, are we supposed to remove PT8 if you're already running .5/.6/.7 and then go through all the install process again?

I read that as 10.5.4 or lower will require the OS update, then PT installation

I am a new Mac user so I just do not know everything about Mac yet. But I will:-}

I am running M-P_PT8 on a Mac Book Pro. I did the 10.5.8 update using the installer in the OS.

Then I read later about the Combo Updates.

Should I install the 10.5.8 Combo updates? Or leave it alone?

What should I do?

Thanks

Always do the COMBO updates. You can install it right over top 10.5.8
Make sure you Repair Disk Permissions afterwards. After any install actually
