Default Using 002r\'s S/PDIF as (stereo) preamp

Hi,

I'd like to use the s/pdif input on my 002r as extra analog/mic inputs.
Is there anything under $500 that can do this?

I found the dbx 386 and the Apogee Mini-Me out there,
but are there cheaper solutions?

Oh, and if I add a spdif preamp, how would I have to clock it?

Currently I'm also using an ADA8000, so I would like to add the spdif to get up to 18 I/O.
Can I just add them? Or do I have to change my clock settings?

And, would it be wise to get an extrernal clock, like the BLA microclock?

there are two options from ART

the digital mpa $400

the DPS-II $260

as far as clocking, set up your ada8000 to be the master. set your 002r to slave to the ada8000. connect word clock from ada8000 to ART pre word clock. set ART pre to slave to word clock...
