hi.
maybe a dumb question: I just upgraded from the mbox2 which offered the 2048 buffer size and now I am on an 002 and my highest option is 1024. Any reason why that is? Is there a way to get back up to 2048? (I am having some major problems with crashes due to low cpu and "needing a higher playback buffer." I realize that's a problem that alot of people are struggling with.)

only time I can use 2048, is with 96k.

interesting...thanks for the heads up. I am still (only very recently) having some MAJOR issues with the buffer size. I can't record for more than 20 seconds without getting the "increase your buffer size" warning. Terribly frustrating as you probably know. Any tips there? Is it my computer or Pro Tools more likely?

Dude, you should be able to get your buffers down to 64 when recording with an 002, the high buffers are more for mixing and plug count. As an Mbox user i've never had a problem with 1024 samples. You need to post your mac spec, OS version, Pro Tools version to get more help.
