\"DAE Unable To Communicate...\"
When using emagic/sounddiver or any other audio interface device I get the following error message: "DAE Unable To Communicate with the audio hardware. Please stop playback or exit from other audio app., etc..."
What to do??? I need my POD/Sounddiver software up when recording in digi.

Re: \"DAE Unable To Communicate...\"
Only one application at a time can use the Digi001 hardware. In order to use your 3rd-party software along side Pro Tools LE, you need to tell the 3rd-party software not to use the Digi001.

Re: \"DAE Unable To Communicate...\"
I see, so I would need direct my SoundDiver or Acid to use my Turtle Beach Montego sound card for those apps. Will both apps play sounds at the same time or will they conflict?
On my Dell how would I switch individual 3rd pty. interfaces to go to another card? Within the app itself or go through Multi-Media Devices in the Control Panel?

Re: \"DAE Unable To Communicate...\"
I'm cought in the middle now. I need Digi to walk me through the proper config because DELL wont touch 3rd party software/hardware problems. So... How would I configure my standard DELL PIII/600 to use Digi's card AND the Montego card for 3rd party applications? I understand that I should go to the actual 3rd party (Other than Digi which in this case is emagic/Sounddiver for my POD), but it's Digi that is having the problem - so I come to you. There must be some way to direct (via the Multi-Media settings) to allow you to direct (via the 3rd party app.) to accept an individual sound. The problem is with the other sound card settings are set do disable so that everthing goes through digi - not sharing between the two.
Does this make sence? I'm sure you'll figure out a solution. Thanks.

Re: \"DAE Unable To Communicate...\"
You will need to check the documentation for your 3rd-party software. Some applications use the "preferred" device specified in the Multimedia Control Panel, while others have their own selection UI. I'm not personally familiar with the applications you mention, so I can't give you more specific information.
