boss dr 770 midi time sync to 001 via mpc 2000

I've got a client who programmed all the songs for his next project with me on the boss dr-770. I'm now trying to get the dr-770 to trigger sounds in my mpc 2000 and this seems to be working fine but I can't seem to get the dr-770 to sync with the 001. I've gone into oms and added the dr-770. I don't have a manual for dr-770 but it doesn't seem too complicated and I've exhausted every avenue that I can think of. I've also searched the net for a user manual but I can't find any and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend money to a manual on CD from Roland. Is this even possible with the dr-770?
