Spanner automation lanes are compatible with the ATMOS panner.
Any panning work you do in Spanner can be copied to ATMOS when the time comes.

I love spanner. I can't comment on Atmos compatibility but Maggot is a Great company that takes users input seriously. Thanks Justin for making it AAX DSP.

Indeed. Seen it work twice, works perfectly. Spanner is definitely your best bet in my opinion.

Not to hijack the thread, but I happen to be selling a copy of Spanner. You can see the details here:

Love the plugin, I'm just not using it much. PM me for additional info as there is a caveat with the copy protection and we'd have to coordinate with Justin.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Interesting.

How can Spanner do the overhead channels?
Or is that just wishful thinking.

Don't get me wrong guys, spanner is great. But As far as i know the Only panning plugin that works with the Dolby RMU is the Dolby Atmos Panner. I need a hardware alternative since we're getting the new S6 (which has no physical surround joysticks) that we can use with pro tools via whatever protocol the S6 runs. I want something with a hardwire connection.

When I used Atmos at Dolby in Wooton Basset they had a JL Cooper panner.
I don't know of any other standalone hardware joysticks.
