Default DigiRewire missing?

Has anyone noticed if Digi Rewire is missing from their plugs in PT9?

I decided to try out Reaper rewired into PT but cannot get it to show up in the plugs list.. (as per Russ' video on the air users blog).

When I began searching for the reason why Reaper wouldn't show up, I find that Digi Rewire doesn't either, even though the .dpm file in in the plugs folder.

Oddly, Waves rewire shows.

Anyone else not seeing rewire?

Anyone have any ideas on why Reaper won't show either?

Mac Pro, OSX 10.6.5

Haven't seen Reaper Rewire anything... I went to propellorhead and d/l'ed 1.7 and installed it.. but other than Waves Rewire I show nothing in PT.. not even Digi rewire though it's in the plugins folder.

I'm looking through Finder now.. but that's not been too fruitful yet. I have Spotlight turned off on the Main drive and maybe that's causing the issues..

Every search I've performed at Cockos, here and google all comes back to the same things... reinstall, (I've done a few times now), update rewire, (done), etc...

I'll keep mucking with it.

EDIT: I just checked, Melodyne and Waves rewire work just fine. Reaper and digirewire don't show however. Weird.

Welp. after setting it all aside for a few hours I went back to it and went back through Reaper preferences again.. sure enough, when I ticked "Preferences/plugins/rewire/check for rewire mixer at startup"... it works.

Sometimes I sit a bit too close to the monitor...

I'm surprised this option was not checked by default. Either that or you've been playing around.

LOL.. actually it's not.. it was the only one in that category that wasn't..

So certain I was that it wasn't needed..

Now I just need to learn how to work with Midi in Reaper... I'll be busy this week.

I'd lodge that as a bug as a 'necessary checked' default, personally.
