Protools with USD stops reading after a while
Hi anyone else with the same problem?
After sometime protools won't react on the incomming TC. The USD is stil showing the correct TC and I can see it in PT, only the machinecontrol window won't update and PT won't react. As soon as I switch back and forth the TC type (VITC/LTC)in the session set-up window it will function again. I have this problem for a couple of years now and hoped it would be gone after updating from PT4 to PT5 and PT5.1 but it's still there. I'm using the latest version of the USD software. Thx for any help.

If you haven't already, try connecting your
USD to the Digi Serial Port on the Mix Core card as opposed to the serial port on the Mac. I had the same problem and that seemed to help. Also make sure your USD firmware is up to date.

Oops, sorry, one other thing. Make sure
AppleTalk is turned off.

Thx I'll try the digiport. I thought the digiport was not recomanded for the USD.
BTW Appletalk is off.
