Default Dubbing Major Pix, Major Problems

Wierd problem, I moved a hit point in a piece of 14 trk music by making two regions, time compressing one and expanding the other. I xferred it to a narrow drive for the MMP-16 dubber using "save copy in" and when the dialog box closed, a major region before the edit was missing. I found the same thing in all 5 back-ups so I took one before tho change, did it again with the same results! Then I did it again and dubbed direct from Pro Tools, then did a "save as" all over the place and backed up to tape before closing. I'll list some other problems later. We have a G-4 450 (1st series), 9.1 OS, 5.1 Pro Tools on a d-24 and (1) dsp farm driving (1) 888/24 & (2) regular 888s, atto dual LVD card. HELP
