Default Tempo Maps 6.4 and 6.7

Hi!

Since I have had some serious problems using my MBox and my 6.7 update on a new portable (no laptop) machine I had to revert to using my Dig001 and 6.4 on this machine - which works beautifully.

However, apart from missing out on several neat features I paid for in 6.7 I have a question on Tempo Maps.

I need to build up a varying tempo on a song. It needs to accelerate and decelerate almost stepless on some sections.

In 6.4 I can only find one way of doing this and it is using Change Tempo markers.
It is very tedious however since I must edit all markers each time I try out the "feel of the tempo".

I know 6.7 brings these features using among other things the possibility to "draw" a tempo curve.

But since I cannot run 6.7 on digi001 and not run mbox I cannot use this.

Therefore I was wondering if these tempo curves in 6.7 are somehow _stored_ the same way in 6.4 as in 6.7 (but only edited differently)? (The same would go for BeatDetective editing drum tracks, then move the session ...)

If that was the case I might fix up an older machine and run mbox on it using 6.7 just as a tempo map tool. Then save the session and open it up on the digi001 machine.

Any hints, highly appreciated.

Cheers,
// J

6.4 will read the session file of a 6.7 session fine... and include any tempo maps.

Hi!
Great, thanks for sharing.

This means I have som music-unrelated activities to perform now (dusting off old computers) ...

Then I am seriously up for some tempo challenges again.

Cheers,
/ J
