Default Install pro tools 2019.10 over 2019.6?

Is it better to install Pro Tools upgrade after uninstalling last version? I have 2019.6. Is it okay to just go to my avid account and download 2019.10 over 2019.6 or is it better to uninstall current version first.
I have to do something, as I was in a local session and all of a sudden I get message saying avid cloud wants to allow access to my computer. I had the choice to deny. I did nothing as I do sessions locally, never in cloud. What the heck? I closed Pro Tools and tried to open and it wants me to activate. I own a perpetual license. I also got error #500 after updating avid link. Any insight would be appreciated. Disclosure: I have cats that may have stepped on a button.!
