DIGI 003 Factory & MPC 2000 (Classic) MIDI Sync Problem

I'm trying to sync my MP3C 2000 to Pro Tools LE 7.4. I used to have it set up as to when i clicked f12 to record in pro tools it would start playback on my MPC. Now it quickly repeats the loops over & over again as if I was rapidly hitting the pad, & the play button isn't lighting up as it should.
I cannot for the life of me remember how I set it up in the past, (with my DIGI 001). Is anyone here familiar with the MPC 2000 that could help me. I believe I have it set up correctly but the constant replay of the loop is whats driving me crazy, it loops after 1 note & then plays it properly but the stuttering note comes out in the recording @ the beginning. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
