FWIW I did not get this error when updating my personal machine.

I've experienced the exact same problem on my HDX rig. I've been running Pro Tools 2023.3 and HD Driver 2023.3 for the last few months without any issue, pretty rock solid.

Today I installed PT 2023.6 and HD Driver 2023.6 and am receiving the same AAE -6001 error message upon launching PT. Uninstalling and re-installing the old 2023.3 driver immediately fixes the issue.

What conflict, if any, is there with me running Pro Tools 2023.6 with old 2023.3 HD Driver?

Current setup:

Mac Pro 5,1
1 HDX Card
No Chassis
Mac OSX 10.14.6
Pro Tools 2023.6
HD Driver 2023.3

Similar issues here with 2023.6 on windows 10. I can create new sessions but opening older ones with active melodyne results in the old BSOD which is the first time ever on this machine which is now 4 yrs old. Rolled it all back to 2023.3 and all is well with the world again apart from the delay compensation issues.

3 - When you open a NEW session

We have multiple internal tests that have not been able to reproduce the errors, so just trying to better understand when you were hitting it.

None of them. I got an error, when ever I started playback.
Can't test it now. I'm back on HD-Driver 2023.3, because I have work to do.

Rolled back to 2023.3 and HDX is not showing up as a playback option. Magma chassis powers on and off with with the cpu so the hardware is responsive and working.

Still waiting for an approval from Avid to file a case.

For me, the -6001 error appears upon launching Pro Tools (When the playback engines are loaded)

New HD driver 2023.6 on Monterey with same -6001 error as described when starting Pro Tools. Everything fine untill initialise audio engine, and then error pop up window.
Rolled back to 2023.3 driver with new 2023.6 Pro Tools and everything looks fine.
