Hello,
I'm getting stuck with a question for which I can't really find any complete answer. I have an older iMac 21,5" from mid-2011 on which I'd like to run Pro Tools. The machine has High Sierra installed (the latest compatible OS). While in the past I've been successfully running Pro Tools 2020 on a monthly subscription, now I see that newer PT versions require newer Apple OS. So the question... If I get a monthly subscription for the newer version, would it allow me to run an older installed version of PT (PT 2020 or older)? Are there any other suggestions for running PT on my machine? Thank you for your very appreciated help! |

Yes, if you will have a new subscription license, not only that you will gain access to the latest version but also with the previous Pro Tools 2020 that you currently got on your computer.

Thank you for your reply! Sorry if I’m getting back late..
Just one more question: I see different subscription types are currently available, can I run PT 2020 with a monthly subscription for PT “Artist”? Thanks again |

No worries at all. If you're planning to use Pro Tools Artist, it can only work with Pro Tools 2022.4 and later.
