I have a chance at three full days away from PT

We have a cabin, all the amenities except internet. I promised my significant other that I wouldn't work. The thing is, I listen to music for pleasure, so how could she know what is business and what is pleasure?

I have a laptop, the Babyface, and a pair of Beyerdynamic headphones. Good enough for editing.

I'm on the fence. This laptop also has Skyrim and the latest Street Fighter video game, too... Maybe I should just call it by ear. We can all play SFIV Ultra, and then when she is busy or asleep I can get into Beat Detective, or start comping these vocal takes. If she catches me working, I can pretend to be playing video games.

LOL, she may or may not know...but the key is taking that time to reset. I do a trip like this every year. Let's your re-focus and know what's important in your life.

Eventhough I was 'relaxing' in the back of mind I was thinking about editing, music production, and overall product...at the same time; It's the memories, cherrish them, you never know.

Look man, you're old enough to know by now that standard stealth computing protocol dictates that you set up with your computer monitor facing AWAY from the entrance by which your parent or spouse may enter the room, giving you time to switch windows to another app and cover your tracks.

You're right. That's the same way I check the DUC on a daily basis. I reminded her that I have Ultra Street Fighter IV and two controllers, and all was well. I'll dash out when she catches me using the Babyface when I'm trimming takes. I'll be like "uh, I wanted to hear it on the headphones, close the door CLOSE THE DOOR DON'T LOOK PLEASE!"

She will probably suspect I'm looking at pornography, but I think she will go easier on me with that than she would knowing I'm taking my work on vacation.

What you should do is to create a desktop wallpaper from a PT session so it's up on the machine all the time. That way she'll never really know if you're working on a PT session or not if she 'happens' to idly walk by.
