Yes. It's just a boot-up thang. I've run mine all day and the fans never seem to kick-in like at boot-up. I got worried at first, thinking that I needed ANOTHER isolation rack! But no worries...

P.S. Just make sure you put 'em in a rack with a little space on each side of the units, as the air flow is side to side.

Hey Vudoo,

We record in the control room all the time. I do have my 192's in the control room, but in a normal rack. I have an isolation rack for the REALLY noisy stuff... Mac, Hard Drives & Tape Backup, Expansion Chassis (that fan is really loud). But I have found the fans on the 192's to be relatively quiet compared to the stuff in the iso rack. All I can say is make sure you've got a little space *on both sides* of each unit for breathing -- maybe your 192's have asthma?

Peace,
C
