mbox 2 sound cuts out

Hello all,

I recently bought an mbox 2 with protools LE 7 and i've ran into a little problem. Now and again when using protools the output of Mbox 2 cuts out and there's just silence. The only way to fix it is to restart the program.

I also use Logic Pro 7 with the Mbox as an interface and the same thing happens.

It's difficult to tell, but it seems to cut out when doing processor insensitive stuff like automating effect or instrument parameters.

I'm wondering if maybe it's because i've set osx to use the mbox for it's sound output as well? Can two systems use the mbox as an interface simultaneously?

Has anyone else experienced any similar problems? I'm using a G4 with osx 10.4.7.
