PT 9.01 and Melodyne Editor 1.2

Seems that the automatic transfer path to the current project folder has gone with PT9.01.
Can´t get Melodyne Editor work in PT 9.01 for longer than 10sec of Audiotransfer - crashes allways my host during the Analysis…
Anybody can confirm this?

Works here perfectly with PT9.0.1. Did a lot of transfers and editing with Melodyne editor (the RTAS PlugIn) and had no problems - even with long passages.

We are having crazy melodyne errors to.

We currently use melodyne editor 1.1.5 and it crashes constantly.

We had that upgraded version and it was even more brutal.

Hanswurstlsepp - What version of melodyne are you running smoothly???

Even in PT8 melodyne refused to work properly and now in 9 its even more glitch.

Running a mac pro 8core 2.88 with 8 gb of ram on PT9 mac osx 10.6.5

1.1.8 works perfectly with 9.0.0 for me. Has been working fine since 8.0.1.

It's not the same situation, but my laptop has only 2 processors so melodye was a bit iffy most of the time, sometimes to the point where it would freeze mid transfer and not let me stop it, where I either had to do a hard reboot or let it go for ten minutes before it realizes it's supposed to stop.

But what really helped was in the preferences you can choose the option to wait u til the transfer is complete before it starts analyzing audio. I know it isn't a long term fix, but while on the clock it could be a quick fix that helps it stay way more stable.

hmm, ours has always been glitchy on playback and transfer.
We create melodyne projects and just import the vocal tracks and a mix minus from the original tracking session and sometimes have 4-8 tracks with melodyne on them. Even trying to playback just one at a time leads to constant crashes let alone multiple instantiations. Usualy it will just give the beachball of death and pro tools will quit.

Its quite frustrating for a program that is amazing at what it does.

Im having trouble finding any installer other than 1.2
the 1.2 is called "Melodyne singletrack" correct?
has anyone found that to be stable?

Now that we have 9 should we just upgrade to the 1.2 and see if its more stable?

Might as well give it a shot if yours isn't working. The new version is 64 bit and has some new workflow features. I've just been timid to upgrade because my current setup is working so flawlessly.

Im happy to say that 1.2 works pretty well with pro tools 9.0.0

it doesn't glitch as much, but it still does a huge beach-ball when closing a session with melodyne in it. It will eventually recover after about 5 mins but it does it every-time.

1.2 has been very stable for me on PT9 and PTHD8 on a ppc. It's SO nice that you don't have to set your melodyne disk allocation manually any more! It is finally smart enough to write it in your plugin settings folder for the session.

I never let it try to analyze while transferring. That's just asking for a crash on a lot of systems...

There's a lot of annoying redraw bugs for me. Annoying but workable.

Anyone have weird issues with sessions that have tempo maps?
