I try to modify a keyboard shortcut corresponding to the option to hide/show all floating windows. I choose F16. However, if I do this F16, I see the windows appear and then suddenly (a 100th of a second) close. The same thing happens with the Color Palette if I try to change the shortcut to =. However, everything works from the menu, where the assigned shortcut is clearly visible. On the other hand, the list of shortcuts shows no conflicts with these keys.
Does anyone have an explanation? (I'm on a Mac with a multilingual Canadian keyboard)

Yep, same bug overhere: using Mac Studio M1max running macos 15.3.1. Happens only on custom keyboard shortcuts, also for shortcuts for show/hide Names in clips
![]() I'm back using App Keyboards Shortcuts in the system preferences pane.

I tried to reproduce but I was unable to.
Currently on M3 OS15.3.1. PT 2024.10.2 Can you post a screen recording of the workflow?

As soon as I have time, because I've changed my shortcuts because of this bug and I'll have to redo them.

There really is a problem with one-key shortcuts. I'm now trying to configure the mute/unmute of a clip with the single “M” key. I press “M” once and it shows PT Mute and Unmute. Exactly as with the = key for the color palette, as I mentioned at the start of this thread.
I should add that the shortcut menu shows no conflict and that if you go to the Edit menu, where my shortcut is shown correctly, and do MUTE, it works. It's really about the keyboard. p.s. I tested it with another Mac keyboard, this time wired, and it's the same. But if I create the shortcut with “ù” (French keyboard), it works. Update : Another bug. In addition to mute and unmute the clip, the same key changes mode at the same time ((SHUFFLE-SLIP-SPOT-GRID). Big problem! And if I remove this shortcut by resetting it, the “ù” alone no longer does anything. What's that supposed to mean? A disorder in the programming.
