PT 12.4 HDX crashing when creating sessions from .ptxt templates?

Trashed all prefs, zapped, fixed permissions, took it to a nice dinner, still no template will open. Any suggestions very appreciated.

I have the same issue when opening the ptxt files directly from the finder but creating a session from a template from the "New session" dialog in PT works fine..

So I tried it today and had no crashes On either PT templates or my own custom templates if I launched PT and selected a template from the Dash Board ( I have it open on launch) or from File > Create New

But from finder it was very strange, sometimes it would hang and I would have to force quit PT. Sometimes it would crash and sometimes it would give a "Can't read I/O file" and then launch just fine with the I/O as it should be .
