Default This forum & IE 5.0 problems

Recently, when I am trying to reply or type a new post. IE 5.0 will update and go back to the page I was trying to post to.

I am using IE5 too and it used to work ok. Since the changes that should have improved these pages a few weeks ago I am having troubles though. I often have to reload a page once or twice before I get to see it in full! Also these pages are still slow.

I'll get together with the Webmaster and see what we can come up with, testing with different configurations on different machines. We'll try to figure out if it is settings in the UBB software or something that can be helped with individual browser settings. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Bruce, thanks for the help. Specifics if you need them:

Toshiba Tecra 550CDT
Win 98
Earthlink
IE 5.00.2314.1003

COMPLAINTS
1) When posting...the browser refreshes and the posting reply page is lost (including everything type as a reply).

2) Sometimes only the page headers load. None of the topics/forums. After loading the banner page reports "Done."

BTW - I cannot confirm IE 5 is the problem. However, I have been using this forum for a couple of years without this problem. And the only change I've made recently is the IE.

Okay...more info

The browser is not refreshing. It has something to do with the "backspace" key. I have noticed the browser seems to back-up upon typing the backspace (at times?).

I keep you posted...
