Default Tools 8 problems (help i think i'm going to kill myself)

Hi there,

Just reformatted my G5 with a fresh version of Leopard 10.5.6, just so i can upgrade to 8. Worked really really well for the first week, now ProTools takes almost a minute to load an AIR plug in and the same for the Waves stuff, also requires a full computer shut down to reload Tools (restart doesn't work). Downloaded all the new Waves updates for my SSL bundle and the ProTools 8 cs3 thing, tried all the things other people have said (trashing prefs and waveshells etc.), and am wondering if someone has a any idea?

Pls help!!

Trash your preferences and your Digidesign databases then feedback to the gang!

Did you ever have a version of Pro Tools prior to 8 installed on this computer?

Have you tried working from a new admin account?

Can you use the Tech Support Utiilty to generate a plug-in version list? Are you sure all installed plug-ins are compatible?

Have you consulted the manual? It's called the reference guide. The full instruction is listed below. It's too much to reprint everything here.
