Question About to purchase- quick questions for you all

With this Mac (specs listed below), should it be compatible with PT9? Also, is anyone familiar with the Student Edition? It doesn't appear to be a different version. Should the Apogee Duet work as the audio interface? Will Logic plug-ins be compatible? Thank you!!

Mac OS X 10.6.4
MacBook Pro
Intel Core i5
2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Processor Interconnect Speed:4.8 GT/s

The mac should work fine with PT9

I'm not familiar with the student version but you crossgrade via the hardware serial number (not the software) so you should be good.

I've read that the Apogee Duet is working (might need latest driver)

Logic plug-ins (AU) do not work in Protools (RTAS)

Thank you. Re: Apogee Duet "latest driver," do you mean the newest version of the Duet?

He means the latest software updates that might be available from the Apogee site for the Duet. Most companies periodically update the drivers and other utility software for their hardware interfaces. There is only one version of the Duet that's been the same ever since it came out.
