error -10011 with logic and 001

i've searched the board and found some old post describing this audio overload error, but no solutions. does anyone have the solution to?

the error only occurs when play is stopped.

macG4-400
os9.1
512mb RAM
logic 4.8.1
using digi001 with direct i/o
