Default Logic Platinum 4.6 & Digi 001 Error -6031

Hallo,
I just wanted to start the Mixdown of a Song
and this message appears:
Error Code - 6031 was returned by the Direct
I/O Driver
I use LAP 4.6 with Digi 001 5.01
Mac OS 9.4 on a B/W Mac G3 450 with 384 MB RAM
I`m using just 1 Stereo Stereotrack for a loop, 1 VST Instruments and 3 EX 24 Samplers
plus 4 Miditracks.
This cannot be too much to get this message.
I have to deliver two songs tomorrow!!!
Anybody can help??
Thanks a lot
Jürgen Baumann

-I too have experienced this error when running a Beige G3/233MHz with Logic 4.5 and Digi001 hardware. Although this error is not fatal (clicking OK allowed me to continue working), I do not know what causes the error. Reverting back to Logic 4.2.2 was the only way I was able to eliminate the error.

-I have consulted with a few engineers who informed me that Direct I/O errors are generated by the third party application being used (in this case Logic Audio). Therefore, I would suggest contacting Emagic to see if they have had similar reports.

Brent

I used to have this error when using logic 4.2.2.

The problem ceased when i installed a real midi interface, since I am still using the same version of logic.

Do U use the midi in and out of the digi ?

Thank You Brent from Digidesign and Zanac,
I have sent Emagic an email the same Time I
sent the toppic. They just sent me the Info
that they gonna Take care of it and will
contact me in the next days. Mmmm..
Hi Zanac, I use a Stealth Serial Port and
an Opcode Studio 4.
I tried to increase Buffer Sizes, Memory,
turned off the Apple Sound Manager, turned
off Metronome Audio Click and at least
myself with some German Beer. Thank God my
Client is still patient.
Thank You again and greetings from Germany
Jürgen
