background services & system cache options changes?

Hi. When I select "Background Services" & "System Cache" options in My Computer / Properties / Advanced / Performance - Settings / Advanced, It sometimes changes to the "Programs" and "Programs" settings. No one else touches the computer. It has happened 4 times. Any ideas why it would do that?

Sandra, if you think that would help. Signature on the bottom says cs1, but it is cs2. Thanks..

I found the solution, no thanks to any of you It was using Advanced Care System 3, which cleans up the C drive and looks for spyware etc. It changed the settings I mentioned above. I can still use the program, but afterwards I change the settings back right away.
