Default SYNC I/O Problems

Hello

I have a ProTools 96 I/O system with SYNC I/O and I use Gallery Virtual VTR for video output.
I also have a Digital Betacam and I don't have Machine Control option.
When I need to capture audio from a Digital Betacam ProTools is slave to Betacam Synced with video reference.
Virtual VTR is slave to ProTools and it works flawlessly.
The problem is that after I finish working the audio and I want to put it into tape the only way to have sync and incoming timecode from Betacam to ProTools is to restart SYNC I/O. Doing this 5 times every day is not a very healthy thing to SYNC I/O.

Why does this happen?javascript:void(0)
Is there any other way to reset SYNC I/O?

Thanks
