Default demo version/tour or advice on software choice?

Does anyone know if a demo/tour version of the LE software is available, as is for Live? It's very hard to get a feel for the software through a video, etc., and 20 minutes in a music store wouldn't be much good either!

Any advice on software/hardware combinations for a BEGINNER? I will be focusing on recording audio and midi tracks mostly for songwriting. I'm not looking to go pro, and I'm looking for ease of use, all-in-one solution. I've seen ProTools and Live, and now that everyone's owned by the same company, I don't feel too bad asking about it here!

Thanks!

Hey,

This is somewhat like a tour:
Diskflix

I don't know if the Digi combinations is best beginner combos you can get, but I find Pro Tools LE much easier to get a hang with than Cubase or Logic for instance. There are som really easy to learn software out there, but you might get tired of them after a short while because they're just, simply put, to crappy.

Oh, I'm sorry, I think I misread your question. There are no demos for PTLE, you must have the software.

Even this is helpful. Thanks very much. It's very hard to make a good decision on software without seeing it in action!
