Default HDX 1U Chassis Fan Replacement

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to replace the front facing HDX 1U chassis fan for something quieter. Does anyone know of the top of their heads what the size is? (only because I'm too lazy at the minute to take it out and measure it, one can only be bothered to un, and replug everything in once).

Is the fan in the Sonnet chassis or the card itself?

In the chassis, at the very front.

I went an ordered a 40mm fan, I figure if 1U is 44mm, 40 seems about right.

How did this turn out?
Im looking to do the same, and find a solution for a more quieter fan. Its to noisy and I need to place this in my argosy desk.
Im using HDNative, does this need the fan? Or is it the thunderbolt controller that needs the cooling?

Which fan did you end up getting? Is it significantly quieter? Thanks!
