Default No Audio Output from Only Analog 1-2
I'm using a RME UCX audio interface and I suddenly don't get audio output from Analog 1-2. If I use other programs like Ableton Live my Analog 1-2 (software playback channels) works great so I can rule out hardware/firmware issue. Only having this routing issue with Pro Tools 11. If I switch to Output 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, then the audio cuts back on, it works great. Only Analog 1-2 seems to cut out audio. I have checked my IO settings so many times and nothing has changed. Seems like its a stupid mistake somewhere in PT but I can't figure it out. I have also tried a computer restart.

I have also tried a reinstall of PT 11 and it did not help the problem.

Are all your tracks actually assigned correctly?(the photos look correct for the IO setup)

Yeah my tracks are assigned correctly. I attached a couple pictures to show this strange behavior. Maybe next step is to see if I have a corrupt pref file that stuck around even during the reinstall?

This is so weird. Still have same issue. All other software works fine with my interface. Only Pro Tools won't spit out audio on Analog 1-2. I have no idea what to do at this point other than complete reformat. That would be such a PITA.

Sorry to necro the thread, but I'm having the same issue. I have an RME Madiface XT and am running Pro Tools Studio Version 2022.10.0 on Windows 11. Pro Tools sends audio to audio channels 1 and 2, but not to the specifically designated "Analog 1 and 2" that the speakers are connected to (the physical outputs on the back of the Madiface XT). The strangest thing is that when I route Pro Tools audio to audio channels 1 and 2, Pro Tools sends the audio to both my monitors AND what I have connected to audio channels 1 and 2 (which is currently an external input into my SSL Big Six mixer).

Was this ever resolved? Thanks,

I would try completely rebuilding all I/O paths. Try deleting all paths and then use the default button to restore the paths defined by the interface. Do this on the input, output, and bus tabs and then see if you still have a problem.

I don't understand your routing but it sounds like an issue in RME TotalMix. Do you have it set to DAW mode or the full mixer mode?

This ^^^^

If you're not in DAW Mode in TotalMix, Pro Tools will output to the Software Playback - the middle layer in TotalMix - and you need to route that Software Playback to Analog 1/2 Out in TotalMix, which can be done in Matrix.

TotalMix is great, but does take some thought.
