Default Recording stops
Hi, Can anyone help? I've got pro tools mini and am using windows XP. I'm having a problem recording. It goes for about 2 seconds and then stops. I had been using norton anti-virus software and tried removing it. Recording was normal. Then, after I installed avg, the problem has returned even although I have paused avg whilst recording. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Disable all virus scanners. Don't have any other program running besides Pro Tools.

don't record onto the system drive; have a dedicated 7200 rpm drive for recording

Sounds like you never bothered to read the manual or Getting Started Guide very carefully. Take that thing out and read it thru (maybe twice like I did).
