Default Assertion error , \"FF_AudioProperty.cpp,\" line 33

Can someone help me please. I am using PT 6.4 with reason 2.5 as a slave on a G5. In the past I have been able to bounce to disk, then burn a CD-RW. However today each time I tried to bounce to disk, I am getting a message at the end of the bounce process which states that

"Could not complete the "Bounce to disk...command because of assertion in "FF-AudioProperty.cpp. line 33".

Can someone tell me what this means and how I can solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

this is funny, I am having this exact problem too, I just logged on to post about it and find this.....

anyway, trying to bounce to disk a song and getting this exact same error. I too am doing nothing different than I have done in the past but suddenly I am getting this error? My set-up is a G4 450, Panther, PT 6.4, I just updated to 6.4 as well as updated to core audio driver 6.5.2, maybe that is the problem? Anyway's any help would be great, it's a weekend so I can't call until monday.

Still seeking help with the "Bounce to disk" problem. Is there an official Digidesign list of error messages and their recommended solutions? If I had some idea as to what would cause this particular "assertion error" message then I might be able to come up with a possible solution.

Any other solutions?

I have also been having the same problem. I could not bounce files in mono, only in stereointerleaved. does anyone know what this error code means?

Same error, here!!! I've gotten away by highlighting part of the track, meaning instead of bouncing the whole song I just simply highlight the tracks duration. but this always happens when you try to bounce as BWF.(WAV), stereo intervealed, I've gotten away with mono summed bounce. Also this just happens on my laptop and not in my desktop, I use the Digi001 in my desktop and the MBox with my Powerbook. Currently using Panther 10.3 with Pro Tools 6.4 on both machines.
Any help from Digidesign would be appreciated
Joel

This has rapidly become a huge problem for me, I have over 30 pieces I need to bounce, and
now have some I can't bounce to any format. Sometimes it just refuses to even try to bounce -
just quits out from the bounce as soon as it starts, no error or anything,
other times it goes all the way thru the track, then get the Assertion error.

I dont' think my last post went thru,
Just bounced over 30 tracks, about 25% went OK as aiff stereo, others I had to
fudge, going down to wav mono as last resort.
Other threads on this suggested adding some blank space before and after the file, and
that worked a few times as well.

If you are experiencing this error, please let us know...

1) What are you bouncing from/to (e.g. WAV/44.1/24-bit to AIF/44.1/16-bit)
2) Are you using "Convert After Bounce" or "Convert During Bounce"
3) OS version
4) Pro Tools version

Thanks!
