Default Switching from subscription to perpetual

Hey all,

I've been subscribed to PT for education for around a year and now I'd like to buy a perpetual license. My question is do I really need to purchase a "shippable box" for this? I already have a working iLok and already have PT installed. It seems like something I would just need an activation code for.

I've made two support cases asking this question but can't really understand the answers I'm getting. For instance, after I said I have an iLok:

"Our Pro Tools academic product is available as a shippable item because the package comes with a brand new iLok key as well along with your activation card. Unlike with subscription-based plans, customer who already owns an iLok key can get the software immediately as a digital download."

Thanks for the help.
