Default Pro Tools & Media Share FIbre Channel System

Hi there,
I'm having trouble when i try to connect my protools (Beige G3) to an Avid Media Share FC system. The problem is that i can see all the avid disks but Pro Tools feezes up when it uses any of the Avid disks.
I wonder if anyone has had the same problem?
***Descirption:
***ProTools|24 Mix Plus 4.3.1, Beige G3, 888, USD, MacOS 8.5, with an external SCSI drive FWB Formated and a Fiber Channel host adapter.
Any help would be apreciated.
Tnx.
