Default Formatting Drives for AV Option

I have read different specs for formatting drives for PT with AV Option XL. I have heard ATTO EXpress, Avid Drive Utility and the built in Apple Disk Utility. I have Avid Drive Utility. Which one is most reliable for ProTools? I am running 5.1.3 on os 9.2.2 with a G4. Also, I heard that Round Robin should be off when working with Video Drives. Is this true?

I would recommend ATTO Express ProTools. (We have a AVXL system, too)

Yep, ATTO Express Pro Tools can and should be used for audio and video drives. Avid Drive Utility is supported for video drives only.

Round Robin should always be off.

Ok probably a stupid question but here goes;

I have an atto express scsi card in my G4 running an AVXL, my drives are formatted as Mac OS ext.
How do I format them with ATTO? When I go to the ATTO folder on my system drives it contains extentions no software?

Joe
