Default Help Me Get Wavelab to see the Mbox

Did a search but didn't find any answers. I can't get Wavelab or Sonic Foundry (somewhat older versions) to show the mbox as an option in the audio selections. Any thoughts?

I didn't select the Wave driver when I upgraded to 6.4 but the ASIO driver seems to work fine with Acid and CD architect.

BTW, is it possible to download the Wave driver without reinstalling 6.4. And what's the Wave driver for anyway?

Many thanks for any help

Wavelab should recognize the Digi ASIO in OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>AUDIO CARD.Some folks have had trouble getting it to show in the dropdown menu, but if you search the forum you can probably find the answer.I personally have no trouble using Wavelab with the ASIO, so I can't help you there.

The Sonic Foundry products [if your talking about Soundforge] use the Wavedriver for playback.

Yes you can download the Wavedriver and install it. Wavedriver. Also download the MME helper from the same page and install it.

The Wavedriver can be used to playback other apps like Windows media player,Winamp etc, that don't support the ASIO.

Thanks Bazzle. Yeah, I did a search and had no luck finding an answer. Exactly my problem: the mbox won't show on the audio menu. Guess I'll keep trying.

Thanks again.

What version of Wavelab do you have?

If you have a version that supports ASIO you might try uninstalling it and reinstalling..If other programs are seeing it, and you are able to use it,it should work with a supported version of Wavelab.

One thing I do recall is that when you're in Wavelab and you go to preferences to choose
the asio driver, you need to click and hold the tab for several seconds and the Digi drivers
should show up.

I found the answer in the Wavelab forum.

I hope this works for you.
