What do I do now - a dealer saying wait... how long?
I was finally about to upgrade to 002r , then I read your post

So, any news on why that dealer told you to hold out would be highly appreciated
Or, grab a 002R for a bargain and spend the money you saved on the Black Lion upgrade which gives it HD hardware specs.

What, it's still not out yet? I love this time of year, when the 003 rumours start to fly

I guess it is more llikely that it may happen with every day that passes. It's only been the talk for 3 + years. My advice, don't hold your breath just yet.

The great joke is if they call it something entirely different, like "Icon-studio"... lol

I understand that the Black Lion upgrades, while sounding a lot better than the stock unit, prevent you from clocking from ADAT or s/pdif at 96k. That may or may not be an issue.

Digi just introduced the Mbox mini, what makes you think they have a 2nd new product in the wings?

It would be nice...we'll have to see.

M-Audio just came out with the NRV10 - built-in effects and PT M-powered compatible.

I don't think there's anyway to clock the 002 to ADAT at anything over 48khz. That's just the limit of ADAT unless the unit supports SMUX, which the 002 doesn't. First to hear that of the Black Lion Mods affecting the 002 clocking though. Anyone else no more?

Hmmm... I had read that somewhere before RE: the BLA mod and clocking (think it was on gearslutz), but have yet to confirm it myself since I've had the mod... I usually only track @ 24/44.1.

Not true. We only have problems with the motu units on the windows platform.
