Protools 6.22 and G5 dual 2 gig working well !

I have just installed PT 6.22 on my G5 dual 2gig and Panther 10.3.1, everything seams to be working fine so far, the overall performance looks a bit faster and the graphics are definitely snappier
I'll try the voice count now to see how many voices I can get to work.

Reason, Ableton Live, SampleTank2, Atmosphere,Trilogy, Stylus, MachFive, Indigo, all waves, all Sony's, all MCDSP, AutoTune, BombFactory, Drawmer, Amplitube, AmpFarm, Phoenix, all IK Multimedia. Al tested and working perfectly.
MIDI I/O working with very tight midi
Firewire 400 tested ok
extra internal SATA drive working ok
Still to be tested:
ADAT bridge 24

Still working great !
SampleTank2 is causing some issues when loading large samples ( it did the same with PT 6.2r2 and OSX 10.2.7)
I could not get PT to complaint about track count yet
Exposé working with Protools running (very useful)
I'll keep testing.

Hey DIGI, I got a question.
I've heard some rumors that firewire was a problem with Panther and PT 6.22, not sure if the issue was with FW400 or FW800, could you comment on that?

I'm not Digi but....the issue was with FireWire 800 drives and the Oxford 922 chipset not with FW 400. The problems have supposedly been fixed with the release of 10.3.1.

Check this thread over at the Apple forums. An employee at LaCie has posted some good info on the recent FW issues with Panther.

FireWire 400 drive are fine with Panther. I'm actually running 10.3 from a partition on an OWC. No problems.

There was a bug in the previous version, I'm wondering if it's been fixed yet. When you import tracks from another session, does the disk allocation assigned for those tracks get imported too? The bug I encountered was that the allocation would change when it was imported.

I could not reproduce that bug here.
I'm having problems with MachFive, converting both Samplecell and GigaSampler, large samples causes PT to crash.
I'll try setting the buffer to a higher number.

Did all these run at once?
I was woundering how many RTAS/HTDM Plugins you were getting befor the CPU gets over loaded?

I have a MIX Card and a dual G5 and am waiting to put them together and would love to hear what I can expect out of this system!
