Default Bounce on Disk A (System) or Disk B (Audio) ???

HI,

i have two 7200rpm hard-drive. Disk A) have Windows Xp and ProTools LE on it, and Disk B) is dedicated for audio. When i'm recording, the tracks are recorded on Disk B. But when i bounce the final mix, should i send the bouce on Disk A) or Disk B)? Sometime the bounce cannot be completed when it's sent to Disk B, and i was wondering if it was because the disk try to read the tracks used in the mix, and write the bounce at the same time. Maybe that if it read on Disk B and write the bounce on Disk A it will be easier for the system and for the disk...

Anyway, does anyone have an opinion or a solution about that ?

Thanks... and sorry for the bas english...

It doesn't much matter. I prefer bouncing to my desktop for easy access.

I am with Mr. Wells. I always bounce to the desktop, then after I burn my audio CD, I archive to the audio drive or move the bounced mix to the audio folder of the original session for DVD archiving. It just makes the final mix quicker to find for CD authoring. If I have several songs to bounce for one CD, I will create a folder on the desktop named for the artist or project.
