Default PRO CONTROL FADER DEAD

When powering up unit(main & 1 fader pack)
one fader slams to the top of its travel,
then slams back down to the bottom of its travel. Upon opening a session, it is dead.
Have tried the recal function - no go
Anybody got a fix?.....
Thanks
