It does not like that!
Eucontrol does not see the tablets in that situation and it hangs up! |

To be clear....
The router in question creates a Wifi network called "Eucon5G" The Dock, S1 and second S1 are connected to the router via Cat5 cables. The tablets join the Wifi network. The computer is connected to the network via Wifi also. One of the ports on the router is fed internet along another Cat5 cable Finally the ethernet of the computer is also connected to the router via a Cat5 connection. (this is necessary in order to be able to access a NAS. Either way removing the Cat5 connection still does not fix the problem) Everything works apart from the meters on all the tablets - even the compression metering on the side of the main meters work fine... it is jus the channel VU indication that freezes and locks. |

Did you restart everything after turning off wifi on the MAC. You are still saying that the Mac connects to the Router via Wifi and Ethernet. If you go to the Mac Network settings and look at the IP address of the Wifi and Ethernet adpaters the first 3 sets of numbers will probably be the same with only the last being different.

Thanks Eddie...
The IP address for the WiFi on the Mac is labeled as 192.168.0.106 Funnily enough the Ehternec settings on the Mac say that the cable is not connected! That the cable may be unplugged or that a device is not responding. Still, I do not think that is the issue because... I disconnected the devices in the Eucontrol settings and then temporarily connected my iPhone running Avid Control as the only device. The iPhone works as before... fully functional EXCEPT the meters not being responsive and taking 30-40 seconds to extinguish after playback is stopped. Naturally I have tried all the restarts, reinstallation (after deinstallation) of Eucontrol softwares and rebuilding of custom settings. Cheers! Phil |

Can you try having the ethernet as the connecting and turn off wifi. You do need to restart everything when making any network changes. Also check the EUCON control Panel in Mac settings and make sure its set to the correct network adapter.

Eucontrol setting does not see any surfaces when the Wifi is disconnected.
Also I get a message in the Eucon control panel in settings that - "Could not load com.avid.prefpanel preference pane." |

Thats most likely because the ethernet is not connected. What IP address is that showing in this state?

It is not showing any IP address as the ethernet is marked as not connecting.
I will try to reset the modem later on. After all, a modem connection should appear in the Mac Network settings > Ethernet when one is connected? |

Hey Eddie,
OK so I managed to get the router (TP-Link Archer A54) to show up in the Apple prefs. However, now it says that the Wifi of the same router cannot be joined as there is no IP address. It cannot be joined by any of the devices (Computer, S1 or Dock) While the ethernet IS connected to the Mac (and has the address 192.168.1.202) Eucon now says that the Workstation cannot be seen! ( the two S1 units and the Dock DO show in the Surfaces left pane) My setup is as follows: Modem -> Linksys Mesh router (provides WiFi to the entire home) Linksys Mesh router -ethernet cable-> 5 port Netgear switch hub (for internet distribution) 1) Switch Hub -ethernet cable-> NAS 2) Switch Hub -ethernet cable-> TP-Link A54 (dedicated to Pro Tools system) TP-Link A54 - WiFi (named Eucon_5G, provides connectivity for the 3 tablets) TP-Link A54 - LAN Port -> -ethernet cable-> Mac M1 (OS 12.6.6) provides connectivity to the S1 and Dock units... and ALSO needs to somehow provide internet, whether through the eNet or WiFi connections) This all worked before I upgraded the Eucon software. Hope that this is clear ![]() thank you again, Phil Last edited by philbone100; 03-21-2025 at 03:28 PM. |
