AAE ERROR 9416 - the greatest mystery error ever?

PT Ultimate 2021.10.0 - just started happening today.

I can find ZERO info on the web about this error code. How is that possible there are AAE Errors with NO documentation?

The error appears after importing and editing Audio Files from SoundMiner - but it also pops up randomly not after file imports.

So far it's only this session - would LOVE to find out what this error means's causing this as this will be a big Post session and I'd hate to get too far down the road and have major problems.

Ideas?

I have no clue on that error, Google search does not help (btw search for other terms and "9416" with quotes to force results to include that, never search for -9416... that excludes that number).

A few posts out there go nowhere.

If its impacting your work file a support case now, while you look at it yourself.

*Always* start by trashing prefs (use Pete Gates PT Prefs utility). Then look at the one session this happens in. What happens if you do a save session in? What happens if you remove that imported content from tracks/playlists or completely delete the clips?

Be prepared to run standard troubleshooting if needed, see "help us help you" up the top of each DUC web page. Stuff including... Testing with all plugin files removed, testing from a newly created admin account, trashing frequently as you try other things.

-9416 is an error in Elastic Audio, so start by disabling EA then try importing tracks one/a few at a time into a new session. If that doesn't help then a support case is recommended.

Thanks for the clarification - good to know. Oddly though, Elastic Audio is not engaged on any tracks in this session.

The challenge with creating a new session and importing session data is that process typically drops the Atmos Object mappings and thus the automation which is as good as a fatal error at this point.

Did you ever figure this out? The same issue has been happening to me for a the last few weeks.

PT: 2024.6
Mac: Apple M2 Max - 64GB RAM
OS: 14.7

It happens are seemingly random times. The same issue was happening on a similar system at a facility I was mixing at. I believe the only difference was less RAM available. Plus that stage was using a MATRX and an S6, while at home I am using Thunderbolt Native, Omni, and some S1s and a Dock.

I don't have any Elastic Audio engaged.

Hi Ryan.....

This error could be anything from things like insufficient CPU power to insufficient RAM or disk space.

Can you check task manager to see how much of the 64 GB is used when you're running into this error?

Can you check your drives free space too......... and check the speed of the drive that you are recording too...... does it match the speed of the internal drive where the app resides?

Might need support on this one....... let me know if you want me to create a case for it.

When the error occurs are you able to get a crash log file from it? If so, it would be good to create a case for this and attach the log so engineering could look at it.
