Sent an email to iLok 30 minutes ago:
After days of absence, my grayed-out iLok Cloud has returned to ILM. Please keep my Incident Number SI2760016 open, until this issue is fixed. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: How do I permanently remove the (grayed-out) Cloud location from the “location tray” on the LHS of iLok License Manager? I have never used iLok Cloud and I have no intention of ever using it. I don’t want to keep checking the Mode of this unwanted Cloud location, I just want it gone completely. The option to remove this Cloud Location has been removed - please ask the Chief Technician to return this feature A.S.A.P. – and keep Cloud removed, until I ‘Open my Cloud Session’ via ILM > File. Thank you My Cloud License Details show ‘Managed Mode’ - with an “M” over the iLok Cloud icon. Some info from iLok: If it’s “A”, my Cloud License is set to ‘Automatic Mode’. In Automatic Mode, all licenses that are available for activation in your iLok account will be automatically activated for you – no additional steps are required. In Managed Mode, licenses will need to be manually activated to an iLok Cloud session. This activation process can be done in iLok License Manager. I just opened ILM and I had an open cloud session again!
Updated to the new version before I did anything. There were 0 licenses activated in the cloud but it said it was opened on March 4. It must be the UA shenanigans. I never had anything UA installed until Avid offered those licenses. I disabled UA from background items when it installed but it does pop up in the menu bar when any software rescans plugins.... Anyway it did let me close it.

Only just now updated ILM (Windows) to Version 5.10.0.4633
Cloud location still there! As the Glimmer Twins could have sung: "Hey, Cloud, Get Offa My Laptop!" |
