Can't Play Audio

Taking my 3rd community college class where I'm using Pro Tools Studio and trying to do my homework on a reasonably capable Windows machine at home. Intel i7 with 32Gb RAM. No audio interface. Flex ASIO. This installation worked for several weeks. Now audio doesn't play.

Have tried repeatedly to Setup - Hardware (Flex ASIO), Playback Engine (Flex ASIO), I/O (Delete All and Set to Defaults).

Have a session with audio recorded elsewhere and a bunch of clips in the timeline on Edit Window. If I push Play in the Transport, the play button goes green. and practically simultaneously the Blue STOP button lights. No sound is heard and playback is locked up. Tap the SPACEBAR? Same result.

At wit's end. Can anyone give me a clue?

I also pitched the preferences that used to work. Same story. I opened a homework project that played a few weeks ago. Same problem. No idea what to try next.

The immediate stop when trying to play indicates there’s something wrong with the driver or driver config.

Have you read the details of how to use the driver? Have you gone through the troubleshooting?

It’s possible the driver config file got corrupted. Delete it and create a new one.
