I have the same problem with an Axiom 49 and PT 10.1.2. Never had this problem with PT9, 9.0.2, 9.0.5, or 10.0.1. What the heck? This is super annoying. Yet another reason to look for another DAW? DP8 anyone?

I had the same issue on 9.0.3? But it's most likely a HYpercontrol issue -
And DP8 - no thanks - you go ahead - and I'll buy your ilok ;->

I am having the same problem on my Mac system since I did the latest Pro Tools update 10.1.3. Never noticed it before. I cleared my preferences per another thread in this forum and it fixed it for a day or so but it is starting to come back. Very annoying because I have recorded over tracks I did not want to because I was not checking every track before I started to record.

I removed my M Audio Axiom keyboard from peripherals setup and the problem went away.

Default Re: Selecting a track record enables it(copy post from post with same issue)

I've been following this thread since I first encountered the same issue as the other users that posted on this thread with the auto-record arming of tracks when selecting them while using the Axiom Pro and the latest releases of PT 10.
I'm still experiencing this problem. I've been getting around it by deactivating the Axiom Pro when not in use, but it remains a real P.I.T.A. while working!!

It is crazy to think that Avid would allow this major bug to remain unaddressed for 3 months(roughly when the last message was posted on this thread)!!!
I mean, at the time when this problem was first noted by PT users the Axiom controller was an Avid(M-Audio) product(prior to the sale of M-Audio) and to think that this wasn't caught prior to the release is puzzling.

Any word on any upcoming fixes for this Digi Tech Support???
....or has there been a fix and maybe somehow I missed it.

Mork calling Orsen......come in, Orsen?? LOL
Any help at all...???

Has anyone found a fix for this? Trashing the prefs does not help. I've seen several threads with others with this same problem, but no one seems to have a solution. I'm on 10.3.3, Win7 64bit SP1, Axiom Pro49.

Thanks!
Ben

Didn't expect it to since it wasn't in the readme, but no fix for this in 10.3.4. Is everyone with an Axiom Pro seriously still dealing with this problem?!

To get around this issue, I Command-click the Record button. Option-Command-click does all of them at one time. This puts all tracks in Record-Safe (kind of like Solo-Safe). Anyway, it stops the annoying blinking that happens every time you select a track.
